Welcome to The Asian Community Alliance, Incorporated

ACA grew from an informal qualitative research process conducted among 200 individuals from 18 Asian countries who reside in the Cincinnati area. This research found that although some 1,800 social service agencies provide programs in this area, Asian populations frequently are not familiar with these programs and do not utilize existing services. So the idea of establishing a social service agency embracing the notion of Asian empowerment was first conceived in 2000 by four women who were committed to serving the Asian population in Greater Cincinnati. ACA was founded to help close this gap between services/programs and those who may need them so that Asian populations are better served.

In 2004, ACA was incorporated in the state of Ohio as a non-profit 501c3 organization. The mission of ACA is to provide quality, compassionate, and culturally sensitive services for Asian populations in Greater Cincinnati through awareness, collaboration, and advocacy.

We have established this web site for you and are pleased to share with you information about ACA. We have listed our Board of Directors & Officers, our Partners, and provided more detailed explanations of Who We Are. Take the time to click on these headings to learn more. We are also excited to bring you an opportunity to participate with ACA and other Asian organizations via the Forum. This is a place where you can exchange ideas about topics that we have identified as relevant to the community. On the right side of this page you will find "What's New." This provides information about upcoming events of interest to the Asian populations in our community. You will find ACA events listed and a few others from the various other communities. If you are interested in having your activities listed in our Community Calendar, please click on the Contact Us heading on the left.

We welcome welcome your participation in ACA. We want to hear from you so feel free to Contact Us. If you want to support our organization through donations please contact us as well. We are, of course, also looking for those interested in volunteering to continue our work of connecting the Asian communities in the Cincinnati area.

We are so glad you have found ACA. Join us and become active!
